College of the Sequoias sophomores Ismael Ramirez and Oscar Perez finished first and second in the men's 4-mile race at the Northern California Community College Championships at Toro Park in Salinas. Ramirez clocked 19:56.1 and Perez ran 20:13 to help Sequoias finish second behind American River College by a 41-71 margin. Ramirez became the sixth Northern California individual champion in program history.
